Sophie Claims Juniors 'A' Class Crown
Sophie claims juniors ‘A’ class crown SOPHIE Appleton won the juniors ‘A’ class yesterday in the Goys Showjumping Championship at the Mounted Police Centre grounds in Budaiya.

Riding Al Khalidiya Femore, Sophie clinched first place in the two-phase competition (with fences 115cm to 120cm high) with a winning time of 45.88 seconds. She had four faults in her ride.

In the juniors ‘B’ class (fences 100cm to 110cm), Oscar Lauri on Emily took first place with a clear round of 27.85s in the jump-off; while in the juniors ‘C’ (fences 80cm to 90cm), Abdulkarim Chena on Wansharees emerged triumphant after registering a clear round of 30.13s in the jump-off.

Juniors ‘A’ : 1 Sophie AppletonKhalidiya Femore, 45.88s (four faults); 2 Shaikh Abdela , Al bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Dong Hoi De L’orme, 50.22s (four faults); 3 Ali Yousef Ahmed, ARG Rebel Ted, 49.46s (eight faults); 4 Oscar Lauri, Emily, 57.21s (13 faults); 5 Juliana Cortes, Urasche, 63.09s (four faults).

Juniors ‘B’ : Oscar Lauri, Emily, 27.85s; 2 Juliana Cortes, Urasche, 29.47s; 3 Hussain Mohammed Abdulla Dadulla, Privilage, 31.92s; 4 Laura Louise Wilkie, Bushiya, 33.43s; 5 Hadi Ebrahim Al Afoo, Muhajer, 29.95s (four faults).

Juniors ‘C’ : 1 Abdulkarim Chena, Wansharees, 30.13s; 2 Saber Faraj, Polanski, 31.15s; 3 Ali Hani Al Yabis, Al Khalidiah Dar, 33.14s; 4 Sherine Fayez, Albury Devilion, 33.56s; 5 Ali Abdulrasool, Pyrenta, 34.79s.

Green Horses : Clear rounds achieved by Natasha Cambell on Drummer, Hebe Lanyon on Al Jazira To To, and Milly Jones on Dilmun Skippy.
